How do I recognize a hyperlink on the Incra.com site? | | | A:
Most graphics on Incra.com have an associated hyperlink which you can reach by
clicking on the graphic itself. When in doubt, just place your cursor over a graphic
to see whether you get the hand cursor which indicates an active link associated
with that graphic.
If you are in the 90% of visitors who have Javascript
enabled in your browser, you will see blue backgrounds appear when you roll over
linked menu buttons. If you have Javascript disabled for security reasons, you
will not see the drop down menus or blue rollovers but our text and Product List
links will still work. You will still be able to access the entire site.
We
have chosen the original standard of bright blue text for available text only
hyperlinks. Our blue hyperlink text may or may not be underlined. Once you have
visited a linked page, the link color for that page will become purple instead
of blue. | | | | |
Why does Incra prefer to support customers by phone instead of
email? | | A:
Put simply, because we want to give you the best possible service. If you have
ever answered a technical question by email, you already know how necessary it
is to get exact information on the specifics of the situation. This often requires
follow-up questions and mutual understanding of terminology before even beginning
to compose an accurate answer for the question.
Since this can mean hours
of real world time to clarify and communicate one technical issue, it's become
very clear that a five or ten minute phone call is a far better way to serve our
customer. We do give up the 24 hour availability of email but your phone call
question is almost always answered or returned quickly. Because of pure convenience,
we would love for email to be more efficient for technical support. It just doesn't
work out that way in practice. If email is the only way you can reach us, we will
greatly appreciate your patience until you receive an answer. In case we have
followup questions, it will be very helpful if you include a daytime telephone
number as well. | | | | | Where
can I download a manual for my Incra product? | | A:
You will find manuals and any other product specific information on the detailed
product page for that particular product.
These files are full-size PDF
copies of the same quality we send to the printing press. Some customers have
run into printing issues with the downloaded manuals. Older or under-powered computers
may have trouble printing the more detailed pages or even the entire manual. In
these cases, please contact us for a free replacement manual.
Use the
Product Manuals page or other navigation methods to find your specific product.
Every product page includes a direct link tab for manuals at the top of the page.
Just click on that when you wish. Some customers have reported difficulty with
the downloading and viewing of our PDF manuals. If you have this problem and downloading
the latest free PDF helpers does not solve your problem, be sure to contact us
for a manual to be mailed directly to you. | | | | | What
are your business hours? | | A:
We are open from 8:30 to 5:00 Central Time, Monday through Friday, except holidays.
Of course our Product Pages and the rest of our online information are available
to help you 24/7. | | | | | How
did Incra start? | | | A:
Incra is the brand name legally registered as a trademark by Taylor Design Group,
Inc.
After inventing and refining his first two products, Chris Taylor
founded the company in January 1987 and immediately introduced the Incra Positioning
Jig and the Incra Gauge. Before he started inventing woodworking tools full-time,
Chris was an electrical engineer and serious woodworker. Incra has been a great
help to many woodworkers with continous creative innovation since 1986. Stay tuned
folks, there's more on the way as we speak! |
